The Present - Where The Trail Magic Resides
Share
It’s funny how this moment, right now, is called “the present”, because what a gift it truly is.
Now more than ever, there are loads of distractions out there and it seems many people are in such a rush. Mobile phones, the news, the destination, social media, nostalgia, etc. Hey, some of it can be good fun. But a lot of it is too much information that’s outside of our own present world and out of our control. Life can pull you in all sorts of different directions if you let it. So yeah, it can be noisy out there, but it doesn’t have to be in your world.

Living in your own world.
You ever heard a comment like, “you live in a bubble” or “you live in your own world”? Well, maybe that’s actually a great way to live. Who's bubble or who's world are you going to live in? Think about it. It’s your world, your aura, your bubble. The world is your oyster! And for the most part, you decide what enters your bubble. It’s present in your bubble, it’s you. This is the place to be.
Now getting comfortable with the present takes time, work, trust and relaxing your nervous system. The less distracted you are by the outside world and the destination, the more present you are with the now, with yourself and your life. Naturally, that requires hashing out some internal things while getting to know yourself more.
Your bubble has boundaries. You set your own boundaries from people, places and things. Once set, it's up to you to stick to those boundaries for your own well-being. When you stick to it, eventually it can become very present and peaceful in your bubble.

Changing your internal oil, breaks and tires.
Self-care becomes a necessity in the present. Doing maintenance on yourself. Changing your internal oil, brakes and tires. Taking “you time” first thing the morning with a refreshing High On Life Shower and an Evening Wind Down Routine before bed. Spending time in nature, setting boundaries, fishing, the works. So there is a learning curve and consistent work you’ll do, but this is where the good stuff is. This is where life really opens up.
Reel it in.
As you reel yourself in to the present with everyday life, work and daily tasks, you’ll begin to feel more grounded. You might even slow down a bit. You’re not living in the future or the past, you’re finally living in the now. Right here, right now.

Commit to the journey.
It’s ok to have future dreams and goals. Send it out to the universe and then let em' go. Yes, let em' go. Life knows what you want. From here, it's up to you to be as present as possible moving forward. Commit to the journey, your craft and yourself on a daily basis. This is where the "trail magic" resides.
Trail magic are the unexpected gifts, acts of kindness and good fortune that come to those who are present and committed to the journey. The tragic magic you'll begin to experience will blow your mind. These are the moments that make memories. It's like these things are designed just for you to keep you going through life and the struggles of the journey.

The present becomes the destination.
Eventually, the present feels like being home. Like you've finally arrived. Even when you haven't achieved certain goals yet. Because you're committed to the journey, your craft and yourself enough to enjoy the ride while knowing you will get you there eventually.
The gifts, the trail magic, the real moments in life don't exist in the future, nor the past. They are discovered in the present and enjoyed in the now. Life has been waiting for you to arrive so it can bless you even more. And since you’re present, you’ll be able to fully experience it and enjoy every minute of it.
We’ll see you out there!
